Eight Faced Rudraksha Eight faced or Ashtamukhi Rudraksha has eight stripes. Ashtamukhi Rudraksha is the form of Lord Ganesha. Lord Ganesha is worshipped first among all the gods. Eight faced Rudraksha is considered to be the body of Lord Shiva in the form of Ashtamurti (Earth, Water, Air, Fire, Sky, Sun, Moon and Yajaman). Man remains under the control of the eight natures (earth, sky, water, fire, air, mind, intellect, ego) created by God. By wearing the eight faced Rudraksha, all the eight tendencies help, due to which victory is achieved in all the eight directions. Just as the seven mothers protect the wearers of the seven faced Rudraksha, similarly, the eight goddesses protect the wearers of the eight faced Rudraksha. By wearing this, the blessings of Lord Ganesha remain, due to which the art of writing, Riddhi-Siddhi etc. are attained.
